TRAINING

1. WHEN DOES THE TENNIS TRAINING TAKE PLACE?

During the summer season (from the end of April to the end of September) we offer training from Monday to Friday afternoon and on Saturday all day. In winter (mid-October to mid-April) we also offer afternoon training on several weekdays and all-day training on Saturdays (for the exact weekdays, please refer to the registration form). The day of the week as well as the time at which the training takes place are individually adapted to your time preferences. You can indicate your individual wishes on the registration form (follow SIGN UP).

2. HOW OFTEN DOES THE TRAINING TAKE PLACE?

Once a week 60 minutes. On request, longer units of 75 or 90 minutes can be booked during the summer season at a surcharge.

3. I WOULD LIKE TO BOOK A SECOND TRAINING SESSION PER WEEK. WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO AND WHAT ARE THE CONDITIONS?

You can book several training sessions per week in summer as well as in winter. Each additional training unit has to be paid additionally and costs again the regular training price.

4. DO YOU OFFER ALSO DURING THE WINTER A TRAINING AND WHERE?

Yes, also in winter we offer training for children and adults. Since we do not have our own tennis hall, we book several indoor courts: Tennishalle Höchst, Tennishalle Sulzbach, Sportpark Königstein. Further information can be found in the registration form for winter training, which we will send out after the summer holidays, or on our website under SIGN UP. (Note: The registration form for the winter will not be activated until August).

5. IS IT NESSESSARY TO BE A MEMBER TO DO TRAINING LESSONS?

Yes, to take tennis lessons is only possible in combination with a membership. With the membership fees, the club maintains the tennis facility and ensures that the courts are playable and available for training. The membership is to be understood as a kind of court rent. There are also insurance-related reasons, as members are always insured by the Landessportbund Hessen in the event of possible sports accidents. If someone who is not a member was injured during training, his health insurance company would be liable for the medical expenses of the club in question.

Also all children who take part in the quickstart programme  are members by their registration. Membership for the first year is free of charge for them.

Adults can participate in After Work Training without membership.

6. DO I HAVE TO BUY MY OWN TENNIS RACQUET?

No: We have enough rackets for children and adults, which you can use free of charge during the training. If a participant has found fun in tennis, we recommend to buy your own racket. Our trainers will be happy to help you to find the perfect racket for you.

7. WHAT IF IT RAINS DURING TRAINING IN SUMMER?

In case of force majeure such as rain or other unplayability of the courts, the training will not be replaced. We try to inform all participants in advance. Should this occur more frequently, we will try to compensate you on a goodwill basis in the form of catch-up hours. Please understand that not every cancelled training session can be made up for meticulously.

8. UNFORTUNATELY I CANNOT ATTEND ALL TRAINING SESSIONS (E.G. DUE TO ILLNESS, INJURY, HOLIDAYS OR OTHER APPOINTMENTS). IS THERE A CLAIM FOR REPAYMENT OF MISSED LESSONS OR FOR ANOTHER TRAINING LESSON?

No! If a participant cannot join all training sessions for reasons that lie with his person (eg illness, injury or time reasons), there is no entitlement to a replacement date or a refund of the (proportionate) course fees. If the student does not join a training session, it is not allowed to send another person to the training without consulting the coach..

9. WHY ARE MISSED HOURS NOT MADE UP OR REFUNDED?

For our coaches, the cost per tennis lesson remains the same - regardless of whether no participant, one participant or all participants join the lesson. Our coaches are not paid per participant present, but per booked lesson.

10. I WOULD LIKE TO DO A TRIAL TRAINING. WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO?

For children we offer our quickstart programme   (see point 12), for adults our after Work training (see point 19). If you are not satisfied with the offer, you can also apply for a trial training by This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Rackets and materials are available free of charge. Special tennis shoes or tennis clothing are not necessary. At the end of the course your children can take part in the summer training on a regular basis. We will inform you about the conditions. In the first year the membership is free of charge for all participants.

15. CAN I START THE QUICKSTART PROGRAMME AT A LATER DATE?

16. IS THERE ALSO A QUICKSTART PROGRAMME IN WINTER??

No! Since we have to rent tennis courts externally in winter, we do not have enough courts available for this purpose.

17. WHAT SHOES DOES MY CHILD NEED?

For children, clean sports shoes with a profile are sufficient for summer training. In winter, indoor tennis shoes without profiles are required for the indoor court in Höchst. For Sportpark Königstein clean sports shoes with profile and light sole are sufficient, in Sulzbach the same shoes can be used as for the summer.

22. WHICH SHOES DO I NEED?

For adults in summer we recommend tennis shoes for clay in summer. Only with these shoes will you have the right hold and avoid injuries such as ligament tears etc.

In winter, the tennis hall Höchst requires tennis shoes without profiles. For the Sportpark Königstein clean tennis shoes with profile and light sole are sufficient (e.g. shoes from the summer), in Sulzbach the same shoes can be used as for the summer.
